Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party will take over Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom for 36 nights starting August 16th. With the first party only 8 days away, here is an overview of new and returning favorites awaiting partygoers.

New Floats Joining the Boo-To-You Halloween Parade

Make sure to see the Boo-To-You Halloween Parade held at 9:15 p.m. and 11:15 p.m. This year the parade will have two new floats, a Tomorrowland-themed unit will feature The Incredibles, including the fashionista Edna; a Buzz Lightyear float comes complete with alien explorers.

Also new this year is a ghost bride who will join the Haunted Mansion part of the parade. To top it off, Mickey and Minnie Mouse will be showing off their new Halloween costumes.

Brand-new Halloween-themed Nighttime Show and Fireworks

Hosted by none other than Jack Skellington from Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas, the new fireworks, dubbed Disney’s Not So Spooky Spectacular, are to include state-of-the-art projection effects, lasers, and, our course, fireworks.

Attractions Get Halloween Makeovers and Monsters Visit with Trick-or-Treaters

Throughout the night guests get to collect candy along designated trick-or-treat trails. New this year is that Monsters will interact with trick-or-treaters on the Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor trail. Candy is given out generously at 14 different stations throughout the different lands. Guests with food allergies collect treat tokens in a teal-colored treat bag. The tokens can be redeemed for allergy-friendly treats at the Town Square Theater of the Liberty Square Ticket Office.

Popular attractions can be experienced with a minimal wait, and some receive special enhancements. A crew of live pirates interacts with guests inside the Pirates of the Caribbean ride; the Mad Tea Party ride spins to special lighting and music; and you can enjoy Space Mountain in complete darkness, while listening to a new soundtrack.
